How this website handles information. BARINV.ca is a public marketing site — there are no user accounts, no online payments, and no analytics or advertising trackers.
This is a plain-language summary of how the BARINV.ca website works. It is provided for transparency and is not legal advice. If your venue or jurisdiction has specific requirements, please confirm them independently.
1. What this policy covers
This policy applies only to the public marketing website at barinv.ca (the “Site”). The Site exists to describe the BARINV product ecosystem and to let interested venues reach us. It is not an application login, an inventory or point-of-sale system, or a portal for managing operational data. Any BARINV operational software is separate, governed by its own agreements, and not covered here.
2. The short version
- The Site is a static informational website.
- There are no accounts to create and no passwords stored.
- There are no online payments or checkout.
- We do not run analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies on the Site.
- The contact form opens your own email app — nothing is submitted to a server on this Site.
- If you choose to email us, we receive only what you send, and use it only to reply.
3. Information we collect
Information you send us
The “Request a demo” form on the Site does not transmit anything to a database or backend. Instead, it opens your own email application with a message pre-addressed to info@barinv.ca. Nothing is sent until you press send in your own email app. If you email us — through the form or directly — we receive the information you include, such as your name, email address, venue or business name, and your message. We use it solely to respond to and follow up on your inquiry.
Technical information from hosting
The Site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like virtually all websites, our hosting and content-delivery provider may automatically process limited technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and request time) to deliver pages, maintain security, and protect against abuse. We do not use this information to build profiles of visitors, and we do not combine it with marketing trackers.
4. Cookies and tracking
The Site does not set its own cookies and does not use analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking technologies. Page fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which is a third-party service; when your browser requests those fonts, Google may receive your IP address as part of that request. We do not control Google’s handling of that data — see Google’s own privacy documentation for details.
5. How we use information
We use the information you send us only to respond to demo requests and questions, to provide information about BARINV products, and to communicate with you about your inquiry. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
6. Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal information. We rely on a small number of service providers to operate the Site and our email — for example, our website host (Cloudflare) and the email provider that delivers messages sent to our address. These providers process information only as needed to provide their service. We may also disclose information if required by law.
7. Data retention
Because the Site collects nothing on its own, the only information we hold is what you voluntarily email us. We keep that correspondence for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and for reasonable business record-keeping, after which it may be deleted.
8. Your choices and rights
You can contact us at info@barinv.ca to ask what correspondence we hold about you, to request a correction, or to ask us to delete it. We are based in British Columbia, Canada, and aim to handle requests reasonably and in good faith. Where applicable privacy laws (such as those in British Columbia and Canada) give you specific rights, we will work with you to honour them.
9. Third-party links and services
The Site may link to other websites or services we do not operate. This policy does not apply to those external sites, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit.
10. Children
The Site is intended for venue operators and businesses, not for children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Site evolves. If we later add features such as web analytics, a server-backed contact form, demo bookings, user accounts, or online payments, we will update this policy to describe what is collected and why before or when those features go live. The “Last updated” date above reflects the current version.
